Although the city has good transport network and is relatively easy to navigate, joining a tour is convenient and hassle-free. Take a look at all the attractions that lie in wait for you in Hong Kong.
City Highlights
The Peak
Undoubtedly one of the world's most spectacular views, the outlook from the Peak is genuinely breathtaking. If you can take your eyes off the panoramic scenery, there are also some great restaurants to try and tourist attractions to visit. Madam Tussaud's, Ripley's “Believe it or Not” Odditorium and the Peak Explorer Motion Simulators provide a whole evening of amusement.
No trip up to this 397-metre peak would be complete without taking the Peak Tram at least one way. This seven minute ride gives its passengers a whole new perspective on the city.
The Harbour
The importance of Victoria Harbour as a shipping channel cannot be underestimated and neither should its value as sightseeing conduit. Still as busy as ever, the harbour sees thousands of vessels of all shapes and sizes criss-cross it every day. The Star Ferry is a cheap and regular way of getting from Central or wanchai to Tsim Sha Tsui or Hung Hom.
If you want to spend more time on the water, consider a sunset cruise with buffet dinner, accompanied with live music. If you fancy an even better overview, why not hire a helicopter? Circle the island or simply soar into the sky and complete a loop of the harbour.
