New Territories
If you want to escape the bustle of the city, there are numerous options to explore – Hong Kong's tallest mountain in the west part of the city, Tai Mo Shan, for example. There are great views from the top.
On the border between Hong Kong and China there are numerous places to drop in. There is a Hakka village at Luk Keng, a wishing tree in Lam Tsuen and a huge bird sanctuary at Mai Po marches. Near to plover Cove Country Park is Sam Mun Tsai fishing Village where you can see how local fishermen farm fish.
Hong Kong South
On the south side of Hong Kong Island sits a number of beaches and smaller towns demonstrating a more tranquil side of the city. Deep Water Bay will probably be the first destination that visitors pass and is a small clean beach backing onto the the Golf Club and Country Club.
Nearby, Repulse Bay is a bigger beach and has a variety of tourist attractions and outdoor restaurant to try.

Lan Kwai Fong
Probably one of Asia's most famous nightlife districts, this small districts in Central comes to life after dark. Numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs line the streets and cater to any tourists, expatriates and local Chinese.
Mid-Levels
Half away in between the Peak and Central on Hong Kong Island is a residential area appropriately called Mid-Levels. Conveniently, the word's longest covered escalator (800 metres long) is at hand to take you up the hill giving you opportunities along the way to stop off and explore.
Half way up is an area known as SoHo (short for South of Hollywood Road) where there are some fine international restaurants and bars. There are also numerous “wet markets” selling fresh seafood, vegetable and fruit.
